How to Make a Video eBook
By Larry Westfall
I have made ebooks in the past using Adobe Pro and have now put one together that includes video along with photos. It is simple if you have Adobe Pro and Microsoft Word. Create your document in Word and include photos if they are to be a part of your ebook. Save the document and also create a PDF with it. Open the PDF in Adobe Pro and insert the video anywhere you want. The video must be a Flash Video (.flv) in order to work. Save your PDF and you now have a video embedded in an ebook that you can sell or give away. To see an example, you can download the free one I made - Merit Making New Year's Day, Khon Kaen, Thailand It is best to keep your videos under 25MB or else your eBook will be huge and will take a long time to upload/download.

Larry Adobe pro is $599.00 and then I need to buy a video camera. It sounds like a lot of money. How long does it take to recover my money? I downloaded your file and tried to watch it but it said that I needed to upgrade Adobe. Does that mean that I need Adobe Pro to watch it?

Bill - Adobe reader or any other PDR should work
I thought you Intel was both informative and interesting, it is great to get that much perspective on a different culture.
Do you need Adobe Pro if you have a word processing program that converts to PDF?
CONTRIBUTOR'S REPLY
Watkins Lady - your PDF software would need to be able to embed video - not sure if yours can
Very interesting intel Larry, and very useful to have this knowledge. Thanks for sharing with us.
