Mukdahan Indo-China Market

On the banks of the Mekong River, in the city of Mukdahan, Thailand, is the Indo-China Market. Now, I hate shopping but I love to go to outdoor markets in Thailand. They have everything from soup to nuts and some of the best food you will ever eat. Every major city along the Mekong River has a market that has goods from Thailand and Laos. You will even see products made in Vietnam. So, you can see, there will be a multitude of goodies to shop for and all kinds of food to taste. Many people make their living at these markets not just selling food or goods. There are some folks that will tell your fortune or assess the value of your Buddhist amulet. You will always find food at these markets and usually any type of food that is indigenous to that area will be everywhere. Another reason that I love to go to the outdoor markets is that they are great places to take photos. Lots of colors and plenty of people make for a great photo shoot.
